Or maybe my mom just likes to manhandle things?  My mom's Burberry handbag which she probably used for about 3 months is falling apart.  The threading that attaches the handle to the bag to give it a more clasped look is falling apart on one of the handle and one of the leg peg piece on the bottom of the handbag fell off so now I have to go take it to a Burberry store to get it repaired.  I don't even know if the bag is still under warranty because I have no idea when she even bought the bag since she purchased it awhile ago at the Burberry store in Vegas but never used it since until recently.  This is just how luxury brands are, they have no substance.  You pay mega bucks for crap which are just as good as the ones you find in 99 cent stores except with a different label.  Luxury brands do not make any good product, they buy their manufactured goods from the same factory as everyone else except they slap on their label and suddenly the same bag that sells at Old Navy for $9.99 is now selling with a new label for $999 at Burberry.  My parents work in the clothing industry and the same thing applies there so that's why my parents are very picky when they buy clothes because they know the quality and the different label mark ups.  Basically, know your crap before you buy!

With my mom away for 2 weeks, there is a bliss of silence in the absence of her constant nagging all the time because you can never satisfy her since she is an Asian parent.  The reason is because whenever you do what she wants, she will always find a reason to complain and tell you to do something else and the cycle continues.  For instance, my little sister was diligently doing her homework past dinner time so she came upstairs and told her to take a break and come down to eat.  I joked that she's only going to yell at her to go back to do homework then yell at her to come down to eat instead and so on because that was exactly what happened.  Although it's nice to not have dear mother nagging all the time but it's also more awkward to have my dad around too because he's not there nagging all the time but at the same time his silence makes you feel like you should be doing something so it's even worse.  On the bright side, without my mom around I can do some cleaning and donate things because with her around she always takes everything back even though it's all junk that we will never use again or totally outdated junk.  I probably like to clear out old stuff so I can buy new stuff so that could be a problem.

It is amazing at how much businesses make off from stealing products made by different companies and marking them off as their own company's product.  Homemade?  Totally not, more like from a instant powder packaging from a more renown company. Nothing is homemade or authentic because everything nowadays is so commercialized just to make a good turn around profit.  Yet, as consumers we would still buy the said products even though we know we are totally getting hosed because it is either out of convenience or we are just that stupid.

In other news, I am currently stuck in Santa Ana at my little sister's music and dance class but good thing I have my netbook to keep me entertained. We ate dim sum because her zither teacher wasn't at her house so we left to eat.  I really don't know how my oldest brother does this every Saturday with her because this is so boring!  Sure, we bring our laptop to entertain ourselves but this is still boring.  Boring~

I apparently have a thing for buffalo wings nowadays especially since Buffalo Wild Wings just makes the damn best wild wings ever!  So I wanted to try out Wingnuts since it opened a couple of years ago but I never tried it out.  The order of wings apparently comes with chips and sticks of celery so that was a plus until I tasted it and it was pretty bland.  Next to try out was the buffalo wings of course and it was quite disappointing because the buffalo sauce was nonexistent so the wings were pretty tasteless so it was such a disappointment!  I am so never going to try eating there again.

I really don't see how people can eat stinky fruits like durian or jack fruit because they stink so badly!  Plus why do they have to have a spikey outer shell?  It's not like they smell delicious so animals would seek out to eat them so they had to evolve with a protective outer layer to protect themselves.  So what gives?  The spikes is a turn off and the smell is another turn off.  How can you eat that?

Reminds me of Rainforest Cafe but without the cries of mechanical animals and a horde of plush animal toys.  We went to eat at the Elephant Bar for my older brother's birthday back in May but I never got around to uploading the event so here it is.  I thought the restaurant was decent although a bit pricey but all in all the food was delicious.  I thought the ribs were cooked just right but the chicken was okay and it wasn't something to die for.  It's not a place to go back again and again though in my opinion.

 

Yeah, I know I haven't been updating in awhile but that's pretty much because I have been so busy due to recent events but that's a whole different story.  I'll get into details about that some other time but basically because of that we have been working day in and day out to restore order for the past 2 weeks and still working on it but hopefully we will be done in a week or two so we can get back to our lives.  Anyways, I booked our spot for camping at the end of this month so we are stoked to try camping again although it is luxury camping again but hey at least it's camping!  But next time we will try a more wilderness approach.

In other news, the time is almost here!  Star Craft 2 is almost out after waiting for years and years for the game to finally make it to beta.  I'm not really a fan of Star Craft or the War Craft sequels because dude we all know that the original is the best!  Yes, War Craft the first!  I remember playing War Craft one when it first came out then part 2 although I was never really good at real time strategy games so the computer would always pwn my butt but it was still fun to click on the peasant workers to hear them talk!

Relatives from Australia came over to visit before they head to SF then Hawaii so my mom kicked her kids and the dogs out of the house for no apparently reason because they didn't even sleep in my room and they were actually excited to see my dogs.  My mom acts as if my relatives from Australia are more rich and glamorous than royalty and affluent people, which I guess they can be considering how easy it is to be rich in Australia.  Apparently you can have a family of 4 and make 80 grand a year and still be on welfare but their welfare is no joke either because they get 4 to 6 grand a month for welfare.  It pays to be poor!  So obviously most of my relatives in Australia are retired at such an early age and their kids are mostly lawyers or pharmacists.  They may be rich as hell but they suck at giving presents, not even a shirt!  Another wave of Australian relatives are coming on Friday so once again my mom is probably going to kick us out again.  I do admit their Vietnamese accent is pretty weird.

Fated To Love You is a Taiwanese drama of 24 episodes so it's not too long and not too short.  The story is about Chen Xin Yi who is the most ordinary and plain girl that you would ever meet.  She is known as the Sticky Note Girl because like a sticky note, she is used when needed and tossed aside and forgotten about.  Even her birth was insignificant, her mom wanted to abort her because she already had 2 daughters but the doctor didn't want to give her discount for her abortion medicines so he switched the meds when she was looking in her purse to pay him.  While her mom was doing the laundry at the river, she "had a stomach ache and accidentally gave birth," and continued doing the laundry.  The only person who ever paid her any attention was her father who told her the story of Cinderella and that if she worked hard then her prince will notice her hardwork but unfortunately her father died shortly after.  At work, she does everyone's job for them when asked with a sticky note on her and often works overtime.  A coworker who was quitting complimented on how cute the sticky note was on her head but she misunderstood and thought he was talking to her so she latched onto him thinking he is her prince charming for noticing her.  She arranges a getaway cruise with her boyfriend but doesn't notice that he is a big jerk and ends up wooing another girl on the cruise and maxes out her credit card because he's too cheap to spend his own money.  Meanwhile on the cruise, Ji Cun Xi is the only heir and director to the largest chemical company and is planning for the 12th time to propose to his girlfriend of 2 years, Anna, who is a ballerina dancer.  Anna was on her way to the cruise until she received the call that she will be the first Asian to play Odette in Swan Lake at the Lincoln Center so she ends up standing Cun Xi up.  Xin Yi ends up catching a cold and takes some cold medicine but ends up being really drowsy and ends up walking into Cun Xi's room.  Meanwhile a father and son try to convince Cun Xi to give them back their shampoo factory but he refuses so they end up drugging him with Viagra and having him sleep with a prostitute so they can take pictures and blackmail him although it turns out the prostitute never showed up.  Cun Xi returns to his room in the dark and thinks the girl laying in his bed is Anna so they end up doing the nasty and the blackmailers barged in to take the scandalous pictures but it turns out the girl that's in bed with Cun Xi is their sister in law and daughter in law.  It all goes down south for Xin Yi because not only did she lose her virginity to a stranger, she also learned the truth about her boyfriend and was even kicked out of her own room by him.  Cun Xi sees that she was innocent in this whole ordeal so he helps her gain her confidence back and turns her into a beauty for the night and she gets revenge against her ex.  After the cruise, they part ways never to see each other again but fate works in funny ways and they meet again and are bound together because she's pregnant! 

 
Fated To Love You

I enjoyed watching this series because their reactions are pretty hilarious and the characters are quite humorous as well.  Cun Xi's grandma is probably the most liked character of all because she just cracks you up with her silly banter.  The series is pretty sweet and cute especially the things Cun Xi does to try to woo her to get her back.  Cun Xi's immaturity is quite hilarious because he plots so many schemes to win her back but it always backfires because she finds out he was lying the whole time.  I think the perverted and seductive scenes are the best parts because Cun Xi makes the most ridiculous facial expressions.  It is funny but it is not all funny because it is also heartbreaking too and it just makes you want to cry for their pain.  Overall, it's a good series so you should watch it!
